Health care needs innovation, innovation needs leaders, who in turn need skills and tools – the job of education! The Global Educators Network for Health Innovation Education (GENiE) Group was created to make innovation a central part of the education of future leaders in health care. The sixth in a series of major conferences at HBS (2012), Duke (2013), UAB, Birmingham Alabama (2014), IESE Barcelona (2016), and again HBS (2017), this second European edition will be hosted by Copenhagen Business School in October 2018. GENiE again teams up with EIT Health, the European Alliance for promoting entrepreneurship and making innovation happen in healthy living and active ageing, with the aim to improve quality of life and health care across Europe.
The Conference is aimed at all, health innovation leaders and academics to collaborating in exciting innovation education programs that foster real change than can be measured. It will provide a space for dialogue between teachers and innovation leaders in health systems, the business, medical and science fields. We will look into issues such as: innovating for outcome (Triple Aim), challenges and opportunities of public health systems; innovation at the public – private interface, the optimal take up of innovative technologies (life sciences, digital transformation, etc.) and innovative learning practices. Innovation playing a central role in the education of future health care leaders, we will together realize a quantum step in moving towards the Triple Aim, for the benefit of health systems and before most: patients and citizens.
We look forward to seeing you in Copenhagen!
