Health care needs innovation and we need to teach it. The Global Educators Network for Health Care Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GENiE) Group was created to make innovation a central part of the education of future leaders in health care. After four major conferences of stakeholders at Harvard Business School (2012), Duke University (2013), UAB, Birmingham, Alabama (2014) and at IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain (2016) - the first European edition in collaboration with EIT Health- the fifth edition will be hosted in Harvard Business School in October 2017 continuing the collaboration with EIT Health.
This Conference is particularly aimed at academics, to work together to move from exciting programs for Health Care Innovation to those that make change really happen. It also involves leaders of health care, to partner and collaborate to assure that we ascertain that innovation plays a central role in the education of future health care leaders. With all your inputs, we will realize a quantum step in this impressive movement.
Following the conference a “Teach the Teacher” Workshop will outline and illustrate the best pedagogical methods and tools for teaching health care business innovation.
We look forward to seeing you in Boston!
The conference is aimed at faculty, academics teaching health innovation management and entrepreneurship and all those that have an interest in managerial and entrepreneurial capacity building in the health sector, including representatives from the industry providing their view on capacity building needs.
